Academic Support Team at LCHS
The Academic Support Team (AST) for Liberty Common High School assists students experiencing academic difficulty. Service through AST may be long or short term depending on student needs and includes students with Individualized Education Plans, Response to Intervention Plans, and 504 Plans.
AST provides “booster” classes for mathematics and language to help students reach academic goals. “Study Table,” an after school program that offers homework help to students, is another service made available by AST.
Additionally, AST works with classroom teachers to develop strategies for instruction and assessment that support academic achievement. Student achievement and mastery of curriculum content are key objectives of the Academic Support Team.
