The Arts at LCHS
Art instruction at LCHS includes fine arts and the performing arts.
Fine arts covers drawing and painting, photography and graphic design, woodshop, sculpture and relief, advanced studio art projects and commercial art. Liberty’s art program is directed by accomplished art instructors whose considerable experience includes classroom instruction and professional, private-sector artistic application.
Performing arts at Liberty include music and drama. Choir instruction involves a full-year course. The LCHS choir performs two concerts each semester and a musical in the spring with a focus on basic singing techniques and beginning part-singing. The choir also concentrates on two- and three-part harmony and a capella singing.
LCHS boasts one of the region’s strongest band and orchestra programs. Full-year courses include Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Orchestra and Advanced String Orchestra.
